First-Time Freshman

We offer academic scholarships to first-time freshmen who meet certain criteria. To be considered, you’ll need to:

  1. Submit your ACT/SAT scores at the time of application, but prior to applying would be best
  2. Apply for admission
  3. Be admitted for consideration by January 5th of your senior year

Our academic scholarships begin with an ACT composite score of a 21* and a minimum high school GPA of a 3.5 (unweighted).  Applicants accepted for admission by January 5th may qualify to receive scholarships for 4 years.  All qualifying criteria (high school transcripts and ACT/SAT scores) are needed by the January 5th deadline.  It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all scores and the transcript are received by the deadline.

If you’ve met the criteria above, you’ll receive an invitation to our scholars banquet.  Students must RSVP to the event by following the instructions on the invitation they receive.  Students who are unable to attend the event must still RSVP.

This process is for first-time university applicants only.

*Students completing an approved home-study program will be required to earn an ACT composite score of 23 or higher.

**The scholarship criteria are subject to change based on university funding.

Students can also find available scholarship opportunities here.  We also have outside scholarships, not affiliated with Nicholls available here.
