CONTEMPORARY SCULPTURE PARK Past Exhibitions and Events November - December 2009: Dottie Ratliff May - October 2009: LUMCON's Coastal Landscape Photography, April 2009: Chauvin Folk Art Festival + Blessing of the Fleet Celebration The Chauvin Folk Art Festival is a FREE event held in conjunction with the historical Blessing of the Fleet, the semi-annual boat parade along Bayou Little Caillou. This year's musical entertainment featured contemporary Cajun rock by Mellowberry, toe-tapping Swamp Pop with Treater, and the classic Cajun sounds of Lost Bayou Ramblers. FEATURED ARTISTS: John Perrilloux, Ivy Billiot, Gregg Elliot, Chuck Broussard, Willie Lamendola, Jeff Brown, Billy Bellagner, Mark Taylor, Geraldine Roberston, Ellen McCord, Dennis Sipiorski, Doris Dupre, Janey Luster, Dot-tie, Robin Hartman, Yvonne James, and more! The 2009 Chauvin Folk Art Festival was supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Houma Regional Arts Council; a Community Partnership grant from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation; the Kohler Foundation, and the Barataria Terrebonne National Estuary Program.

LUMCON exhibition opens at the Folk Art Center with crawfish boil and live musical performance by Clayton West & Friends.
