Positive Action
Prevention Partnership's Positive Action is
an after school program for 11 and 12 year olds students in
Lafourche Parish.
It's a fact that youth need to hear that you care. According
to a Community That Cares survey of 6th grade
students:
- 20% used alcohol
- 9% used cigarettes
- 5.3% used marijuana
- 4.5% used other illegal substances
in the past 30 days. That's above the national
average in all categories!
Prevention Partnership Positive Action will
work to bring an end to substance misuse and abuse. Prevention
Partnership provides help, through grants, to Lafourche Parish
Public Schools.
