New French Films at Nicholls
The International Film Club, in conjunction with the Tournées Festival of new French films on campus, will present a five-part series of films that begins on November 7, 2007. The program is a celebration of French film and culture and provides an introduction to the richness of diversity of contemporary French cinema. The featured films by directors such as Chris Marker, Daniele Thompson, and Patrice Chereau, represent a variety of film genres.
Educators and cinema professionals will introduce each film. The program will conclude with a presentation on March 12, 2008 by Louisiana filmmakers Glen Pitre and Michelle Benoit of Cote Blanche Productions who will bring their creative insights to the festival.
