Seniors in Graduate Courses
Undergraduate seniors may be allowed to take graduate courses, if certain criteria are met. After getting proper approvals on the Petition for Pursuing Graduate Work as an Undergraduate Senior, the student will be allowed to register for graduate courses. The petition must be filed prior to registration and approved by the dean of the college in which the graduate coursework is housed. A course may not be used toward both graduate and undergraduate degree. The student retains an undergraduate status.
Education and Business Administration
In the Colleges of Education and Business Administration, the student must meet all of the following criteria:

be in the final semester, or summer session, of undergraduate work

at least a 3.00 grade point average on all undergraduate work pursued.

lack no more than 9 semester hours to complete the baccalaureate degree, or 6 if petitioning for a summer session.

will be enrolling in not more than 15 semester hours during a regular semester, or 10 in a summer session.
In order to apply the graduate courses toward the Master of Business Administration degree, the student must meet all of the requirements for admission to the program, except for completion of a baccalaureate degree.
Applied Mathematics
For one intending to major in Applied Mathematics, may petition for no more than a total of 12 hours of graduate work. The student must meet the following requirements:

be in the final year of study (2 semesters or sessions)

at least a 2.75 grade point average on all undergraduate work pursued.

lacks no more than 36 semester hours to complete the baccalaureate degree if petitioning for a year, or 15 hour if petitioning for a semester, or 6 hours if petitioning for a summer session.

will be enrolling in not more than 18 semester hours during a regular semester, or 10 in a summer session.
