What Tune

by Jose Araguz

  after Ishikawa

I tap my fingers on my ribs

do you know what tune I’m playing –

The wind passes through thin hair and cribs

and taps its fingers on my ribs –

even ink pitters out from nibs

to say one thing through what I’m saying –

I tap my fingers on my ribs

do you know what tune I’m playing –
