What is your discipline
philosophy?
GTG Preschool emphasizes developmentally appropriate positive guidance and
discipline. Developmentally appropriate discipline focuses on age, individual,
and cultural appropriateness. Discipline is administered in a loving and consistent
manner in order to encourage self-control, respect for others, and self-confidence.
To help children adjust to this process, the following guidelines are set at
GTG:
- Children are always treated with respect
- Children will assist in developing simple and concise
rules and limits
- No child will be subject to physical punishment,
corporal punishment, verbal abuse or threats
- No child will be deprived of meals or snacks or any
part thereof for disciplinary reasons
- No child will be deprived of outdoor time or rest
as means of punishment
Any form of punishment that violates the spirit of these
standards of discipline, even though it may not be specifically
mentioned as forbidden, is prohibited.

Do I send lunches or
snacks with my son/daughter?
No. A morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack are provided by Sodexho,
Nicholls' catering service. Meals are delivered to the preschool room. Sodexho
serves balanced meals and healthy snacks. A sample menu can be provided upon
request.

had thorough federal and state background checks.
