Louisiana Political Science Association

LPSA Annual Meeting

Founded in 1972, the principal activity of the Louisiana Political Science Association is its annual conference during the spring months. The 2006 Annual Meeting of the Louisiana Political Science Association was held on March 3, 2006 at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The meeting featured presentations from 28 professors and 10 students representing 13 universities in Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. The keynote address was delivered to an audience of over 100 guests by John Maginnis, author of the “Last Hayride” and Cross to Bear.” The final program can be found here. The site of the conference rotates every two or three years between Louisiana and Mississippi, with the Mississippi conferences being held in conjunction with Mississippi Political Science Association. A call for papers for the 2007 conference will occur in the fall.
