School Colors: Purple and White
Homecoming Display Rules:
-There will be four (4) categories: 1. Greek, 2. residence Halls, 3. Other Organizations, 4. NSU Community
-DEADLINE to enter is 4:30 p.m. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29,2011
-Only ONE display will be allowed per organization
-For judging purposes, each organization must identify its display by placing a sign in front of the display.
-Switching of location IS NOT ALLOWED. If the display is not in its designated location your organization will be disqualified.
-Displays will also be disqualified if they are considered to be obscene in any way.
Criteria for Judging:
JUDGING WILL TAKE PLACE ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2011 at 12:00 p.m.
-Overall effectiveness of display: 1. Neatness, 2. Color 30 points
-Construction: 1. Ability to convey Idea, 2. Clear representation of Theme 40 points
-Creativity: 1. Use of Materials, 30 points
2. Work and effort put into display
WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT HOMECOMING GAME DURING HALF TIME. PLAQUES WILL BE AWARDED TO THE FIRST PLACE WINNER IN EACH OF THE FOUR CATEGORIES. WINNERS ARE TO CONTACT SGA FOR AWARDS.
Displays MUST BE set up by 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19th or they will not be judged. It is the organization’s responsibility to maintain displays throughout Homecoming Week.
The display contest meeting will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2011, in the Laffitte Room of the Student Union. Locations and Display Ideas will be selected at this meeting.
