LCHC Conference

LCHC Schedule of Student Presentations

presentation schedule of when and where students will make presentations is now available.  The first round of presentations is scheduled for 10:45 am-12:20 pm and the second round is scheduled for 1:05-2:40 pm.  All student presentations (paper and poster) will take place in Gouaux Hall.

Friday Night Activities

Friday evening activities include Swamp Stomp, a festival of south Louisiana culture and heritage, the play Romeo and Juliet, and a film regarding the Louisiana wetlands. Discounted tickets will be on sale during registration and supper time on Friday night.  Discounted tickets are $5 with your LCHC conference nametag; no credit or debit cards will be accepted.  Please bring extra spending money if you would like to participate (and purchase items) from these events.  We do have a third, more economical (free) option:  a documentary movie and discussion on God’s Architects, following five artists and their stories.

Interested in purchasing a conference t-shirt?  Here is the image of the shirt and it will be on an Irish green.  Don’t forget that Saturday is St. Patrick’s Day!  Sizes S, M, L, XL are $15 and 2X, 3X are $17.  Cash and checks will be accepted; no credit or debit cards, please.

Saturday Browsing around Nicholls Campus

There are some additional exhibits available on campus for you to enjoy.  A special and unique exhibit is on display in the Archives Room of the Ellender Memorial Library, entitled:  Celebrated Houma Oysters:  The History of the Cenac Family and the Early Oyster Industry in Terrebonne Parish.  This free exhibit will be open Saturday exclusively for participants of our conference.
