Honors Student Center – 211 Ellkins Hall

E. “Bob” Miller Honors Student Center is a place where members of the University Honors Program can go to study, relax, or take a break between classes.  Located in 211 Elkins Hall adjacent to the Quadrangle, the Honors Student Center has many amenities honors students fild helpful, including:  seating area (couches and tables), computers with Internet access, kitchenette, and informal atmosphere.

Honors Lounge

The Honors Student Center is open whenever Elkins Hall is open.  If the door is locked, just knock.  The Elkins location for our Honors Student Center is temporary while Beauregard Hall is under construction.  We currently share 211 Elkins with the CAFE (Center for the Advancement of Faculty Education).  Once Beauregard construction has been completed, the Honors Student Center will move back to Beauregard Hall.

dsc027982The building where the Honors Student Center is located, Elkins Hall, was the first (and for a while the only) building of the Nicholls campus.  Elkins Hall has been placed on the National Historic Registry and pictures from the early days are now on display (circa 1948 – early 1950s).
