In fall 2008, students had the opportunity to move into three new, state-of-the art residence halls that met the needs and desires of modern students.

Each of the new, three-floor residence halls feature suite-style, two-bedroom units in which each resident has an individual, furnished bedroom space, and only two residents share a bathroom.

Each unit includes:

  • bed, desk, chair and dresser,
  • high speed wireless Internet,
  • individual telephone connections,
  • ceiling fans and
  • microwave and mini refrigerator.

Each residential building contains:

  • a computer lab,
  • a game room with pool and foosball tables,
  • a TV room,
  • a media room,
  • a meeting room,
  • study room,
  • laundry facilities,
  • a snack bar,
  • elevators,
  • outdoor seating and
  • barbecue areas.

Choosing a hall:

Each new residence hall offers the same type of housing arrangements and house both male and female students, who will be assigned on a floor and/or wing basis.

Scholars Hall:  This is a three story building located across from the Galliano Dining Hall (Cafeteria). This hall houses University Honors Program students, scholarship students and students who maintain excellent GPA requirements. Residents are expected to contribute to and actively participate in Scholars Hall activities as they experience a highly committed academic living community.

Millet Hall: This  is a three-story building near the tennis courts on Bowie Road. Students living in this facility are expected to be active participants in residence hall activities.

Zeringue Hall: This is a three story building on Bowie Road. Students living in this facility are expected to be active participants in residence hall activities. Students who will need housing for break periods during the semester (Thanksgiving, Mardi Gras and Easter) must select this residence hall.
