Visitation

In order to ensure a safe and secure living/learning environment for our residents the university reserves the right to limit visitation in the residence hall buildings. All visitors must leave the building when visitation hours end. Failure to do so is a violation of university policy and may result in the host receiving fines, community service hours, or the loss of their housing privileges.

The visitation hours are as follows:

Sundays: Noon until 8:00PM

Monday through Thursday: 1:00PM until 11:00PM

Friday and Saturday: Noon until 2:00AM

 

Guests in Residence Halls:

  • Both parties have to present student ID to staff member at front desk
  • Sign in with staff member and both parties leave ID’s at front desk
  • Sign out at front desk and ID is returned to both parties
  • Host must accompany guest at ALL times, no exceptions!!
  • No cohabitation or opposite sex for overnights will allowed at any time.
  • If a guest of the same sex is to stay over night they must fill out overnight guest form found at the front desk, and must surrender ID to staff member at front desk.
  • If guest is not a student, then a valid drivers’ license or state ID will be accepted only!
  • Each resident is allowed only one same-sex overnight guest per night.
  • Each resident is allowed to have one same-sex overnight guest for no more than two consecutive nights during the weekend, Friday - Noon until Sunday 8PM, or one night only during the week, Sunday - 8PM through Friday Noon.
  • There is a charge of $8.00 per night which will be charged to the student host’s university bill.
  • Any guest that visits any residence hall must be 17 years or older or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
