Education, Assistant Professor

POSITION:

Assistant Professor of Education (Full-Time, Tenure-Track, Nine-Month Faculty Position Beginning Fall 2008; Position 021425)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The faculty will have responsibility for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in reading methods and other elementary content areas, as well as supervision of student teachers and interns. In addition to a commitment to teaching excellence, new faculty members are expected to have a commitment to, and ability for scholarly research. Faculty members will also have service and academic advising responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

An earned doctorate in curriculum and instruction or related area with a strong background in research and literacy education is required. Applicants with public school classroom experiences will be given priority.

RANK AND SALARY:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
