Computer Science, John A. Brady, Sr. Endowed Chair

POSITION:

John A. Brady, Sr. Endowed Chair in Computer Science (Begins Fall 2008)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with the faculty of the department to maintain an innovative curriculum with high quality standards; Mentor the faculty relative to scholarly activity; Provide outreach programs to business and industry to enhance the regional economy in its movement from labor-oriented to technology-oriented; Pursue activities that enhance the reputation of the department and the University; Exhibit innovative methods of teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, and recruiting of quality students; Exhibit a continuing record of scholarly and creative endeavors which stimulate the development of research projects and grant applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A national reputation as an eminent scholar and/or teacher in the computer science field; A record of prominent leadership roles; Outstanding record of scholarly activity; Recognition for innovation in teaching

SALARY:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
