Marketing, Assistant/Associate Professor

POSITION:

Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing (Full-Time, Tenure-Track, Nine-Month Faculty Position, Beginning Fall 2009)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The faculty will have responsibility for teaching marketing courses. In addition to a commitment to teaching excellence, faculty members are expected to have a commitment to, and ability for, scholarly research. Faculty members will also have service and academic advising responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

An earned doctorate in business with a major in Marketing from an AACSB accredited school is required; ABD near completion will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence as well as evidence of and/or potential for scholarly productivity.

THE DEPARTMENT:

In addition to the general marketing curriculum, the department has a concentration in professional selling. The department has a Sales and Interactive Training Lab with four role-play rooms equipped with cameras that enable students’ behavioral skills to be recorded to DVDs.

THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AT NICHOLLS:

The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International at the undergraduate and master’s levels and also has separate accounting accreditation. There are four recently Endowed Chairs and nine Endowed Professorships in the college. The College of Business has technology in every classroom, including computers, projectors, DVD players, and Internet access. Other highlights include wireless Internet access, a mobile laptop computer lab, an entrepreneur/business incubator lab, the Survey and Experimental Research Lab with nine CATI telephone stations, a behavioral observation lab/focus group facility and a Collaborative Learning and Resource Center containing group workstations, current magazines, international news via plasma screens, a stock ticker and food services. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
