Kevin George, principal of Thibodaux High School, leads a workforce heavily comprised of Nicholls graduates –including himself. Nearly 70 percent of Thibodaux High’s teachers and 100 percent of its administration graduated from Nicholls, the Bayou Region’s only four-year university.

Moreover, most of Thibodaux High’s college-bound students “prefer to remain close to home” – and an increasing number of them are participating in the university’s Early Start Program.

“We wouldn’t be nearly as successful without Nicholls in our region,” George said.
