Nicholls State University welcomes all delegates who will serve as designated representatives of their institution at the Inauguration of President Bruce T. Murphy.
If you have not already returned the response card mailed to your institution, you may register online here. Please RSVP by Wednesday, March 26 for inclusion in the Inauguration program.
Reporting for the ceremony
The Inauguration Ceremony will take place in Peltier Auditorium in Peltier Hall on the Nicholls campus. Delegates should begin arriving at 2:45 p.m. with their own academic regalia and report to the robing room, 132 Peltier Hall. Processional line up will begin at 3:15 p.m. Delegates will be lined up by the year their institution was founded (oldest to newest) to walk in the Processional. Our staff will be available to assist you.
Parking will be available in the lot behind the Bollinger Memorial Student Union on Leighton Drive.

Who can be a delegate?
A member of the administration, faculty or an alumnus/alumna may be appointed to represent an academic institution as an official delegate. Only one person may be appointed to represent each institution in the Inauguration ceremony. Often, the delegate is the institution’s president or a representative attending on his/her behalf.
Guests of delegates
Delegates may bring guests to the Inauguration Ceremony. Guests will be directed to the public seating area inside Peltier Auditorium.
