Tuition and Fees
The John Folse Culinary Institute offers a high quality education for an affordable cost. Because the institute is located at a public institution unlike many culinary schools, students can get the experience and education needed to land a great career without having a hefty loan waiting for them after graduation.
Just compare tuition alone for a student’s first year in a culinary program:
| Private culinary institutes | approximately $20,000.00 |
| Nicholls — in-state students | $3,554.50 |
| Nicholls — out-of-state students | $9,002.50 |
Currently, Nicholls tuition and fees for full-time Louisiana resident students is $1,777.25 and $4,501.25 for non-resident students per semester.
Residence hall charges depend on which hall you reside in and whether you have a single private, double, triple or quad occupancy room. A basic meal plan is also required for all residence hall students.
All fees are subject to change, and certain classes may require lab fees. Learn more about Nicholls tuition and fees.
Many students are also eligible for out-of-state fee waivers. Find out if you’re eligible to save about $5,448 a year.
