Jubilee: A Festival of the Arts and Humanities is held every spring to raise the level of awareness in the arts and humanities for the Nicholls community and the southeast region of Louisiana.
Jubilee strives to educate the student body, faculty, staff and members of the surrounding communities on matters of interest to the arts and humanities. It also furnishes role models by presenting locally and nationally distinguished lecturers and performers.
Jubilee began in 1998 as part of the university’s 50th anniversary celebration and has become an annual tradition that draws thousands of locals, tourists and academics to share in the arts and humanities. Since 1998, nearly 85,000 people have attended Jubilee events.
