2012 Emerging Entrepreneur Award & 2012 LCWG Dream Big Small Business Award
The Louisiana Center for Women and Government recognizes entrepreneurs in Louisiana as a key pillar of the free enterprise system. Entrepreneurs create the jobs, innovation, and opportunity that make our nation prosperous.
The LCWG Conference Mission: to provide information which will enhance life altering decisions affecting the economic well being of women. Topics will focus on legal, credit, financial, technology issues and non-traditional business opportunities.
We are proud to provide special recognition to the small business community through two awards: 1. Emerging Entrepreneur Award and 2. LCWG Dream Big Small Business Award!
Emerging Entrepreneur Award
All Small Businesses are invited to participate by completing an application (you may nominate yourself), or can be nominated by a LCWG Council member-in the Emerging Entrepreneur Award Program. Small businesses must meet the following requirements to participate:
1) 25 or less employees
2) Five years or less in business
DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award:
All Small Businesses are invited to participate by completing an application (or you may nominate yourself, or can be nominated by a LCWG Council member-in the LCWG DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award program. Small businesses must meet the following requirements to participate in the DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award program:
1) Fewer than 100 employees
2) Five years or more in business
Award Criteria for both Awards
- On the job training; job description and office procedure manual; other
- Innovation and technology development
- Community involvement
- Customer service
- Business strategies and goals
- Grading system – Totaling Highest of 100%
The winners of the Emerging Entrepreneur Award & DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award must also be able to attend Louisiana Women Leaders Conference Luncheon in Baton Rouge on May 3, 2012 at the Renaissance Hotel.
Purpose of the Awards
The Awards Program is designed to honor our state’s job creators and recognize their significant contributions as drivers of economic growth.
Applications are due by Monday, April 16, 2012!
