  • Art Abstracts provides comprehensive indexing and abstracts for 378 leading international publications pertaining to a variety of art types.

  • Biography Resource Center provides access to award-winning GaleGroup reference sources and includes full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals. Search for people based on one or more personal facts such as birth and death year, nationality, ethnicity, occupation or gender.

    Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna

    Musée du Louvre

    The Metropolitan Museum of Art
    contains links to the permanent collection, special exhibits, news, membership information, and visitor information.

    The Musei Vaticani
    site is made up of several sections: the Gallery of Tapestries, the Gallery of Maps, the Sobieski Room, the Room of the Immaculate Conception, the Stanze and the Loggia of Raphael (commissioned by Julius II and Leon X), the Chapel of Nicholas V (painted by Fra Angelico), the Sistine Chapel, the Borgia Apartment, the Vatican Picture Gallery, the Missionary Ethnological Museum, and the Historical Museum.

    The Museum of El Prado
    exhibits the best works held in the Prado Museum, according to artist. You can choose your preferred artist see his best works (each with a small commentary, date of painting and original size). You can enlarge paintings by simply clicking on them.

    The National Museum of American Illustration
    features artworks from the "Golden Age of American Illustration." Visitors can appreciate the American Imagist Collection as a medley of beautiful pictures, but also as an historical overview of our unique culture.

    The State Russian Museum
    is the world's largest museum of Russian art. It is located in the very center of St Petersburg, just of the city's central magisterial, Nevsky Prospekt. The museum is housed in the former Mikhailovsky Palace, a stunning monument of Empire architecture.

    The J. Paul Getty's mission is to delight, inspire, and educate a diverse public through the collection, preservation, exhibition and interpretation of works of art of the highest quality. The site includes links to the Research Institute, the Conservation Institute, and the Getty Foundation.

    The Web Museum: Paris
    is a unique set of artworks, including a Paul Cézanne collection and a Medieval Art collection.

    The Web Gallery of Art
    is a virtual museum and searchable database of European painting and sculpture of the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods (1100-1850), currently containing over 13,900 reproductions. Commentaries on pictures, biographies of artists are available. Guided tours, free postcard and other services are provided for the visitors.
