Professional Development Collection is designed for professional educators. This database provides a highly specialized collection of nearly 550 high quality education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles. This database also contains more than 200 educational reports.
JSTOR is an Arts and Sciences Collection that offers full-text access to 117 titles in the areas of African-American Studies, Anthropology, Asian Studies, Ecology, Economics, Education, Finance, History, Language & Literature, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Population Studies, Sociology, and Statistics.
Mental Measurements Yearbook is produced by the Buros Institute, and contains fulltext information about and reviews of all English-language standardized tests covering educational skills, personality, vocational aptitude, psychology, and related areas as included in the print version of the Mental Measurements Yearbook.

Internet access to full-text is available only to subscribers; however, you can browse “Complete Contents” for brief summaries. Pay attention to Ms. Mentor and Jobs (you may find the dream boss for the boss you dislike). NOTE: The Chronicle is also available in full-text in the Lexis Nexis database. Professional Writing Resources is a website here at Ellender Library that provides links to information about many print and electronic resources of interest to students and researchers studying the world of professional writing. The print resources are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the library, with books and reference works on the 2nd and print journals on the 3rd, while the electronic resources are accessible from any computer on campus, as well as off-site (off-site access is limited to Nicholls students and faculty).

The Student Guide is a comprehensive resource on student financial aid from the U.S. Department of Education. Grants, loans, and work-study are the three major forms of aid available through the Department's Federal Student Aid office. Updated each award year, The Student Guide tells you about the programs and how to apply for them.

In addition, one could go directly to the Institutional Research Publications page by clicking here, or go directly to the Factbook. These sites contain the bulk of many statistics that might be useful to people in Education.
The National Center for Education Statistics ( NCES) is where IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Statistics) are found. It also has a Peer Analysis Tool which allows you to chose a comparison group and those statistics that are pertinent to the question in hand. By clicking on either the Board of Regents or University of Louisiana links you will find state higher education news and data.
