Important Dates and Facts
The NSU Research Council disseminates grant monies to Nicholls Faculty for research projects in all disciplines. These funds are to be viewed as “seed money” to undertake worthy projects that will lead to larger projects, external funding, publications, performances, exhibitions or presentations. The Council is made up of representatives from each college, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and the Office of the Provost. Further information about the structure and mission of the Council can be found in the Faculty Handbook.
Details:
Tony Fonseca, Assistant Professor and Serials Librarian, is the Council Chair There is no maximum award. The award budget is $25,000. The deadline for applications is Midnight, April 15, 2012.

Current Chair
Assistant Professor and Serials Librarian Tony Fonseca has an MLIS from Louisiana State University and a PhD in English Literature from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is a native of Houma and did his undergraduate work in English here at Nicholls in the 1980s. His office is Ellender 325, and his extension is 4675.
