Etiquette Dinner

Today, business isn’t just conducted within the confines of an office. Business professionals must know how to conduct themselves and represent their company at the dining table and in other social settings.

The Society for Human Resource Management and Nicholls Career Services host an etiquette dinner as part of the university’s Jubilee Festival each spring. At the event, a certified business etiquette consultant addresses proper dining etiquette and reviews general topics, such as making introductions, getting in and out of a chair and tipping. Participants learn the acceptable etiquette for each particular course as it is served.

Dr. Terry Roach, certified business etiquette consultant and Arkansas State University faculty member, has served as the training facilitator since the program’s inception at Nicholls in 2003.

The 2008 etiquette dinner will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, March 10.

For more information on the etiquette dinner, contact Dr. Sonya Premeaux.
