Rohit Crasta, 17, of Long Island, N.Y., pitches his self-designed video game “Mushin no Shin” at GameCamp, held this week at Nicholls State University for young people who want to learn to develop video games. Crasta, a high-school senior, said he wanted to connect with people in the industry before applying for college. (more…)

State, Acadia Reach Agreement on Land for Nicholls Expansion

The State of Louisiana, on behalf of Nicholls State University, reached an agreement on Wednesday with Acadia Agricultural Holdings LLC to purchase approximately 57 acres of land to the east of campus. As part of this transaction, Acadia donated an additional 17 acres for a total transaction of approximately 74 acres. (more…)

Nicholls Students Announce Student Leaders and Awardees

Nicholls State University students recently announced the year’s new student leaders, presented awards and recognized the 2007 Mr. and Ms. Nicholls, Clint Costanza of Holden and Leah Talbot of Thibodaux, at the recent awards and inaugural banquet of the Student Government Association, the Student Programming Association and the Student Educators and Leaders. Nicholls Announces Contingency Plans for Construction Projects

Nicholls State University officials are considering alternative sites for the planned student recreation center and a future Chef John Folse Culinary Institute building in the event the university is unable to secure the desired property east of Bowie Road and the campus. (more…)

Local Nurses Recognized by Nicholls Honor Society
