THIBODAUX – The Nicholls State University School of Fine Arts will present a recital of violin, cello and piano music at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Thibodaux.
THIBODAUX – Celebrate Louisiana’s culinary tradition Monday, March 17, at the 11th annual Lafcadio Hearn Award Dinner and Distinguished Visiting Chef Series, presented by the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at Nicholls State University.

THIBODAUX – To ensure that faculty, staff and students receive split-second information in the event of a crisis, the University of Louisiana System has secured the services of FirstCall, a Baton Rouge-based emergency notification network supported by a massive database of contact information. Nicholls State University activated the new communication system Wednesday, Feb. 27.
THIBODAUX – The Louisiana Center for Women and Government at Nicholls State University will honor four Louisiana women for their outstanding public service on Friday, March 14, at a luncheon at the Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium in Thibodaux.

THIBODAUX – The Nicholls State University community grieves the passing of one of its own. Josephine “Jo” Galliano died February 18, 2008, around 2 p.m. She was the widow of Dr. V. F. Galliano, Nicholls president from 1963 to 1983.
