Legislature honors Nicholls professor
THIBODAUX – The Louisiana House of Representatives has adopted a resolution honoring Dr. J. Paul Leslie, professor of history at Nicholls State University, for his recent receipt of the Individual Achievement in the Humanities Award from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities.
Nicholls Academic Council honors Kasten
THIBODAUX – Chef Donald Kasten, lecturer at The John Folse Culinary Institute, was recognized for March by the Nicholls State University Academic Council for his outstanding service and significant contributions to the teaching of culinary arts.
Nicholls inducts standouts into Hall of Fame
THIBODAUX – Thirteen students were named to Nicholls State University’s Hall of Fame at the Nicholls Alumni Federation’s annual Awards for Excellence reception. This is the highest honor bestowed upon a student of Nicholls.
Nicholls celebrity waiter event raises nearly $50,000
The New Orleans Leadership Council of the Louisiana Center for Women & Government at Nicholls State University raised $47,000 at “Guess Who’s Coming To…Dinner?” – a celebrity waiter fundraising event – at the Audubon Tea Room in New Orleans.
