THIBODAUX – With the continuing approach of Hurricane Gustav, the Emergency Preparedness Committee at Nicholls State University has issued a Phase 3 alert in accordance with the 2008 Hurricane Emergency Plan, posted at http://emergency.nicholls.edu.

THIBODAUX – Having received the mandatory evacuation orders issued by Lafourche Parish earlier today, the administration of Nicholls State University announced this afternoon that Nicholls students will be evacuated from the campus by 2 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 30.

THIBODAUX – The Nicholls State University administration announced Tuesday that the deadline for student registration has been extended from Wednesday, Aug. 20, to Friday, Aug. 22.

THIBODAUX – Long Hall at Nicholls State University is slated for demolition by the end of the fall 2008 semester – but not before law enforcement officers take advantage of its stairwells, hallways and rooms for special weapons and tactics team training.

THIBODAUX – With the fall 2008 semester already underway at Nicholls State University, students are participating in a series of events dubbed the Weeks of Welcome – or WOW.
