Nicholls Hall of Fame ceremony a big-name success

THIBODAUX – With nationally renowned broadcast journalist Connie Chung serving as keynote speaker, the Louisiana Center for Women & Government at Nicholls State University hosted its 2008 Hall of Fame ceremony Friday, March 14.

hall_of_fame_1.jpgThe luncheon featured the induction of Kitty DeGree of Monroe, Sandy Rosenthal of New Orleans, Dr. Dolores Spikes of Baton Rouge and Phyllis Taylor of New Orleans. In addition, the center presented its Blue Ribbon Award to the WWL-TV Morning News Show with Eric Paulsen and Sally Ann Roberts for their exceptional reporting of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

hall_of_fame_2.jpgKathleen Babineaux Blanco, Louisiana’s first female governor and public service commissioner and chair, received the center’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
