“I commend the dedication and spirit of all those in the Bayou Region who have worked so hard to get our university and community back on track,” said Dr. Stephen T. Hulbert, university president. “To honor their efforts in the best Nicholls tradition, we will go forward with our 60th anniversary celebration – and it promises to be quite a party. I invite all who can to join us.”

Highlighting the festivities will be a Monster Piano Concert presented by the School of Fine Arts – Division of Music. Slated to kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by the concert at 7 p.m., the event will feature faculty, alumni and students simultaneously performing on five pianos. Participating musicians will perform a specially commissioned work based on the Nicholls Alma Mater and composed by Stuart Folse, a Nicholls graduate and former member of the music faculty.

Dessert and coffee service will be available following the performance.

Tickets are $60 per person and are available in the Office of Institutional Advancement, located in Picciola Hall, or by calling (985) 448-4005. A limited number of student tickets are also available at $10 each – with Nicholls identification required.
