Ribbon cutting ceremony features scholarship winners

THIBODAUX – Faculty, staff, students and alumni of Nicholls State University celebrated the opening of the new campus residence halls with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 2, at Scholars Hall – followed by a tour.

As part of the official opening of the new residence halls on Thursday, Oct. 2, at Nicholls State University, $1,000 in scholarships were given to one student from each of the new residence halls on campus. Pictured from left are scholarship winners James Lee Burrell, a dietetics sophomore from Franklin, living in Residence Hall B; Long Nguyen, a management freshman from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, living in Residence Hall C; and Ashlee Patrice Nickerson, a culinary arts freshman from Pearland, Texas, living in Scholars Hall.
