Federal government honors Nicholls for service-learning
THIBODAUX – For the third consecutive year, Nicholls State University has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. Launched in 2006, the list recognizes colleges and universities nationwide that support innovative community service and service-learning programs.

Nicholls scholarships offered to students nationwide
THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University offered more than $1.3 million in scholarships to nearly 600 high-school students at the institution’s annual Scholars’ Day banquets last week. The three-day event kicked off Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Culinary institute places first for second straight year
THIBODAUX – Having won the South Central Region San Pellegrino “Almost Famous Chef Competition” on Thursday, Jan. 22, a Nicholls State University student will proceed to the national competition in Napa, Calif. – slated for March 6-9.
Nicholls issues carnival parking policies
THIBODAUX – For the 2009 Mardi Gras parades in Thibodaux, visitors will be allowed to park on the Nicholls State University campus in parking lots along Audubon Drive, with few restrictions. Please note, campers will be allowed in the parking lot on the corner of Audubon and Ardoyne Drive, across from Gouaux Hall.
Students, parents invited to Financial Aid Night at Nicholls
THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University will host an informational seminar – themed “Financial Aid and the College Experience” – for high school students and parents on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
