THIBODAUX – Dr. Alfred Delahaye, a 1946 graduate of Port Allen High School, was recognized by Nicholls State University on Saturday, March 14, for 52 years of service to the university as a faculty member, administrator and volunteer. (more…)

THIBODAUX – Working media are invited to meet national political consultants and New Orleans residents Mary Matalin and James Carville – as well as the six Louisiana women being honored by the Louisiana Center for Women and Government – at the center’s annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, March 28, at the New Orleans Hilton Riverside. Two Thibodaux Service League Volunteer Scholarships, totaling $1,000 each, were presented recently to students of Nicholls State University – Renee Naquin, a sophomore elementary education major, and Allison Naquin, a senior biology major, both from Thibodaux. The award is presented annually to sophomores, juniors or seniors who maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and have a background in volunteerism.
