Nicholls updating budget reduction proposal
THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University has received notification from the University of Louisiana System that it must submit a revised fiscal year 2009-2010 budget reduction plan totaling $5,309,946 in time for the House Appropriations Committee hearing scheduled for Tuesday, April 21.
Wildlife photographer to headline writers’ conference
THIBODAUX – Literary enthusiasts are invited to the Sixth Annual Jubilee Jambalaya Writers’ Conference, slated for Saturday, April 4, at the Terrebonne Parish Library main branch – located at 151 Library Dr. in Houma. The day-long conference, themed “The Writer’s Voice,” will kick off at 8 a.m.
‘Different, better’ ads win local awards
THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University’s latest television and Internet advertising has won two Silver ADDY Awards for 2009 from the Advertising Club of New Orleans. The awards were presented in New Orleans on March 13 at Pat O’s on the River during the annual ADDY Gala.
Port Allen native awarded for half a century of service
THIBODAUX – Dr. Alfred Delahaye, a 1946 graduate of Port Allen High School, was recognized by Nicholls State University on Saturday, March 14, for 52 years of service to the university as a faculty member, administrator and volunteer.
