Nicholls receives its fourth Steinway
Casey Haynes, staff accompanist for the Division of Music at Nicholls State University, performs on the university’s new Steinway piano – a nine-foot concert grand priced at $110,000. Funded via the Nicholls Foundation; the Mary and Al Danos Family Foundation; Benny Cenac of Houma; and proceeds from the Monster Piano Concert conducted at Nicholls in September 2008, the piano will be showcased on the stage in Talbot Hall theater. The new Steinway joins three others, plus a harpsichord, all acquired since August 2008.
