THIBODAUX – Working media are invited to Nicholls State University on Thursday, Aug. 27, for “Welcome Back Day.” Highlighting this year’s event is the return of Colonel Tillou, the new costumed mascot who will make his entrance at approximately 11:45 a.m.
“We are so excited about our new mascot,” Renee Piper, director of university relations, said. “The people of the Bayou Region are cordially invited to come out and help the new Tillou usher in the fall 2009 semester.”
Scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Quadrangle, “Welcome Back Day” is an annual event allowing incoming students the opportunity to meet other new students, returning students, faculty and staff.
