***Media Alert*** National women leaders to converge in New Orleans

THIBODAUX – Working media are invited to the InterContinental Hotel in New Orleans this week for the inaugural, three-day National Women’s Leadership Summit – scheduled to begin Thursday, Sept. 24.

Sponsored by the Louisiana Center for Women and Government, headquartered at Nicholls State University, the summit will feature roundtable discussions focusing on environmental and energy-related issues. The conference will take place in Acadian Room I on the third floor of the hotel, located at 444 St. Charles Avenue.

5:30-6 p.m. – Renae Conley, CEO of Entergy Louisiana

5:45-6:45 p.m. – A panel discussion is scheduled with environmental and energy leaders. Bios will be available upon request.

• Friday, Sept. 25

9:30-10 a.m. – Former Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco and Dr. Stephen T. Hulbert, President of Nicholls State University

1:30-2 p.m. – Donna Brazile, political commentator, CNN’s Inside Politics and American Morning; and Rear Admiral Mary Landry, Commander of the Eighth Coast Guard District
