New Orleans Film Festival to profile sculpture garden

THIBODAUX – The Sculpture Garden and Folk Art Studio in Chauvin, owned and maintained by Nicholls State University, will be featured in a new independent film by Zack Godshall. The film will be showcased at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Prytania Theater as part of the New Orleans Film Festival.

Titled God’s Architects, the film is a documentary that tells the stories of five artist-architects and their enigmatic creations – detailing how and why they constructed their self-made environments. Among the profiled artists is Kenny Hill, who created the Chauvin sculpture garden during the 1990s and disappeared in 2000.
