Nicholls to present women media personalities

THIBODAUX – The Nicholls State University student chapter of the Radio-Television News Directors Association will host a panel discussion themed “Women Working in Mass Media” on Wednesday, March 25.

Slated to begin at 10:45 a.m. in the Le Bijou Theater of the Bollinger Memorial Student Union, the event will commemorate National Women’s History Month.

Scheduled panel members include several female members of the regional media, including Lucy Bustamante, anchor/reporter for WWL-TV; Laura Buchtel, meteorologist for WWL-TV; Keitha Nelson, news reporter for WAFB; Sandy Breland, general manager of WAFB; Dee Dee Thurston, managing editor of The Courier and The Daily Comet; Naomi King, staff writer for The Courier; Kay Gervais, assistant news editor for The Advocate; and Mandy Hay, graphic designer for The Advocate.

The event is open to the public.
