Nicholls to be tobacco-free
THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University will become a tobacco-free campus effective Jan. 1, 2011. The use of tobacco in any form will be prohibited.

THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University will hold its spring commencement exercises Saturday, May 15, in Stopher Gymnasium, where more than 570 degrees are expected to be conferred in morning and afternoon ceremonies.
Nicholls receives grant to establish Small Business Development Center
THIBODAUX – The College of Business Administration at Nicholls State University has been awarded a $499,500 grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration to establish a Small Business Development Center at Nicholls. The grant will cover three years of operation.

Nicholls and City of Thibodaux cooperate in street resurfacing

Nicholls College of Business maintains prestigious accreditations
THIBODAUX – The College of Business Administration at Nicholls State University maintained two accreditations in April with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, or AACSB International. Nicholls joined 63 schools in maintaining its accreditation in business and 17 schools in maintaining accreditation in accounting.
Nicholls student athletes exceed NCAA classroom standards
THIBODAUX – Academically, all of Nicholls State University’s 14 sports programs have performed above standard in 2009-10, according to information scheduled to be released this week by the National Collegiate Athletic Association on the academic progress rates of nearly 6,300 Division I teams.
