Dr. Lloyd Chiasson, professor of mass communication at Nicholls State University, was named Distinguished Service Professor at the first faculty meeting of the fall 2010 semester.
The award is presented to faculty members with a reputation for excellence in instruction, dedication to academics, outstanding professional relationships and distinguished professional accomplishments.
