Nicholls submits federal plan

Louisiana state Rep. Karen St. Germaine of District 60 joined a contingent of Nicholls State University faculty and staff members in Washington, D.C., recently to deliver the university’s strategic plan for possible federal funding to U.S. Sen. David Vitter, U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, U.S. Rep. Charlie Melancon and U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander.

The plan seeks funds for projects including the Institute for Floodplain Ecology, Institute for Seafood Studies, Geospatial Technology Center and Clean Power Energy Research Consortium.
