The 2nd annual Louisiana Swamp Stomp Festival at Nicholls State University attracted about 2,700 people, nearly double the festival’s 2009 attendance.
Hosted on the university campus March 12-14, the weekend event featured Cajun, Zydeco and swamp pop bands; a variety of south Louisiana foods; several presentations on the history, culture and economic development of the region; and artisans demonstrating their crafts and selling handmade items.
