THIBODAUX – Bayou Region residents are invited to an evening of fine dining and entertainment on Monday, Dec. 6, to help raise funds for the 13th annual Jubilee: A Festival of the Arts and Humanities at Nicholls State University. The annual Christmas fundraiser is scheduled for 6:30 to 9 p.m. at 400 East 1st Street in Thibodaux – the John Folse Culinary Institute’s Le Bistro location at the Carmel Inn.
Attendees will enjoy musical entertainment by faculty and students from the Department of Music – as well as a light buffet provided by faculty and students from the culinary institute. The menu will include shrimp or crawfish etoufee quesadillas; crab fritters with raspberry pepper jelly; pork tenderloin; cranberry and cornbread roulade; chicken satay; thinly sliced roast of beef tenderloin with rolls, horseradish, aioli and Haywood’s mustard; bruschetta with herb marinated mozzarella; sweet potato cakes with maple crème fraiche; white bean hummus pita hors d’ouevre; caeser salad parmesan tuile cups; French onion soup croustade; and bacon wrapped cheese stuffed figs.
Advance tickets to the semi-formal event are $60 each – $45 of which is tax-deductible – and must be purchased by Sunday, Nov. 28. Nicholls faculty, staff and students are eligible for discounted tickets at $45 each. Checks should be made payable to “Jubilee” at P.O. Box 2038, Thibodaux, La., 70310.
