Nicholls State University’s new research vessel, the R.V. Burt Wilson, was ceremonially christened Wednesday, April 20, on campus.
The Nicholls State University administration presented the Student Employee of the Year Awards on Thursday, April 14.
THIBODAUX – The Nicholls State University Foundation will host the 12th annual Women’s Night Out benefit on Thursday, May 5, at Cypress Columns in Gray, La. All proceeds from the event will benefit women’s athletics at Nicholls.

The annual Service Awards Program at Nicholls State University was conducted Tuesday, April 12, in the Cotillion Ballroom of the Bollinger Memorial Student Union. New employees and veterans alike received acknowledgment – including those who have given five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service to Nicholls.
THIBODAUX – The Nicholls State University Concert Choir will present “A Concert for Holy Week” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Houma, 6109 Highway 311. The concert, featuring a multi-movement “Stabat Mater” by Franz Joseph Haydn, is free and open to the public.
THIBODAUX – Christiano Rodrigues, a senior violin major from João Pessoa, Brazil – and soon to be the first graduate of the four-year-old string program at Nicholls State University – will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 15, in Talbot Hall Theater. The concert is free and open to the public.
THIBODAUX – Deborah Henson-Conant will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, in Talbot Theater at Nicholls State University. Free and open to the public, the Grammy-nominated electric harpist’s concert is part of the 13th annual Jubilee: A Festival of the Arts and Humanities at Nicholls.
Public invited to family-friendly event THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University will host the first-ever Bayou Region Public Safety Expo on Saturday April 16, in the John L.
