Artwork by Sandra Murchison, professor of art and chair of the Department of Art at Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., is on public display in Nicholls State University’s Ameen Art Gallery, 200 Talbot Hall, until Friday, Sept. 16.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The exhibition, a mixture of prints and mixed media paintings on canvas, are based on rubbings from the Mississippi Blues Trail historical markers and images from the marker sites.
