Volunteers revitalize Nicholls sculpture garden

Taylor Wagner, 13, of E.D. White Catholic High School in Thibodaux, puts a fresh coat of paint on the walkway flowers of the Chauvin Sculpture Garden.

Wagner’s effort is part of a Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP) volunteer initiative to revitalize the garden. Her time also counts as service hours for school. BTNEP is currently looking for more volunteers to help with this project. For details, go to www.btnep.org. For additional info about the sculpture garden, created by artist Kenny Hill, go to www.nicholls.edu/folkartcenter/.
