Nicholls resident assistants build teamwork skills at ‘ropes course’

Nicholls State University resident assistants watch as fellow RAs Shane Smith, elementary education senior from New Orleans, and Palash Tiwari, athletic training junior from Delhi, India, scale a climbing wall on Friday, Aug. 10.

The training course was designed to strengthen the team-building skills of Nicholls’ residence life student staff members before the fall 2012 semester. The eight-hour, experiential education “ropes course” was hosted by the Lafourche Parish Juvenile Justice Facility and administered by the Office of Housing and Residence Life. University residence halls and apartments will welcome new and returning students on Saturday, Aug. 18. Additional information is available at www.nicholls.edu/housing/.
