THIBODAUX – The student body of Nicholls State University has elected Student Government Association officers, senators, justices and election commission members for the coming academic year.

THIBODAUX – All police officers at Nicholls State University were issued custom-fitted body armor vests on Monday, May 14.

THIBODAUX – Matthew Jewell, senior business administration major from Luling and 2012-13 president of the Nicholls State University Student Government Association, was elected by fellow SGA presidents from throughout the state on Monday, May 14, to serve on the Board of Regents as a student member.

THIBODAUX – Nicholls State University has been selected to host the third annual University of Louisiana System Academic Summit in 2014. Inaugurated at McNeese State University this year, the summit features undergraduate research, a juried art competition and faculty service-learning presentations from throughout the nine-university system.

THIBODAUX – Tellus Operating Group LLC, a Mississippi-based oil and gas company, has finalized the first installment of a multiple-source endowment that will fund new petroleum services labs at Nicholls State University. The total endowment is expected to exceed $300,000.
