LaFleur receives Nicholls Presidential Award for Teaching Excellence

Refurbished Nicholls residence hall rededicated

Nicholls State University administrators officially rededicated the fully refurbished, 40-year-old Calecas Hall on Tuesday, Aug. 14. With around 80 attendees, including community leaders and family members of the residence hall’s late namesake – Dr. Raymond Jerome Calecas – the campus ceremony was one of a decade-long series of similar events as Nicholls continues to modernize campus facilities. Nicholls business college to offer maritime management program

THIBODAUX – Beginning in fall 2013, students in the College of Business Administration at Nicholls State University will have the option of maritime management as a degree concentration. THIBODAUX – Despite four years of state budget cuts, Nicholls State University has been able to move forward with several campus construction projects funded by self-assessed student fees, restricted state allocations and targeted donations – funds that, by state policy, cannot be used to offset budget reductions.
